“When I get ready to talk to people, I spend two thirds of the time thinking what they want to hear and one third thinking about what I want to say.” – Abraham Lincoln
Did we forget about Empathy? I feel so.
We’re in 2019, in an era covered by tech, business, money, meaningless selfies and more. We, the civilised world, have everything we want, though we are never satisfied and keep looking to make more money and step by step building those short distances between what we are and who we want to become, which will most unlikely tend to create a big gap on the emotional side.
And yet, I’m not telling something we don’t know. But knowing and feeling are different.
I’m 30 and I’m feeling a little bit lost: If in one hand I would like to change the world, on the other one I don’t know how.
“How can you change the world if you don’t fix yourself first?” – I got asked this question.
Chaos, I feel only chaos within me – constantly looking for advices from everyone, seniors and juniors, practical persons and dreaming ones, people who knows me well and people who think they do.
And yet, I don’t find a solution to calm my inner storm down. Maybe I should just rest and refresh myself, and get away from everything that make people run around money, forgetting the fact we are all humans and we all need at some point empathy from others. Why then don’t we learn to express it too?
Mastering the way we listen to others.
This, could be the solution to a better world.
